Student Discipline

Student discipline serves as one of the primary methods for maintaining safe learning environments in an effort to give students access to a quality educational experience. In theory, student discipline responds to both the needs of the individual student and the needs of the school community. In practice, the emphasis on harsh, punitive disciplinary measures neither fosters learning outcomes nor improves school safety. Effective student discipline can prevent misbehavior and promote positive school climate.
