As we enter this exciting new school year, safe passage for our students, as they travel to and from school, is of the utmost importance to us all. The responsibility falls on all of us as parents, neighbors and citizens to support our communities and make the routes that our children take to school safe. Even the small contributions that each of us makes in our communities supports our students and ensures that they are able to achieve their greatest potential in and out of the classroom. As community members, we can support our students and #DCSafeRoutes by clearing sidewalks and pathways, keeping unleashed pets off the routes, and trimming plants and shrubs to enhance visibility.
